Seminars & Workshops

The New World Foundation frequently organizes seminars and workshops on topics like political participation, the changing economy and nonprofit leadership. These programs bring together outside experts, our staff and like-minded donors for mutually beneficial explorations of politics and strategy.

We value educational information sharing and issue exploration with our funding colleagues.

Recent topics have included:

  • Building a New Majority
  • Labor and Economic Justice
  • Global Environmental Activist Collaboration
  • Progressive Media Strategies

In some cases, we have been able to turn seminar series into more substantial publications. For instance, the book Choosing Equality (1985) began as a seminar series on reforming public education.
