Andrea van den Heever is President of the Connecticut Center for a New Economy, an organization spearheading a broad movement that includes community and faith organizations, civil rights groups, and labor unions. Andrea was a leader of a historic 10-week strike by Yale University’s clerical workers in the 80s. A South African by birth, she was also a leader of the anti-apartheid movement in Connecticut.
